We are currently building an outdoor deck attached to the back of a home. The deck is 15ft off the ground with views of the yard, bay and mountains. We need some advice for ambiance lighting around the deck, and for flood lighting to provide ample lumination during social activities. We have capability for installing low voltage or line voltage, or a combination of both. Thanks

Well, sounds like you might want to conceal some low voltage accent lights under the deck to illuminate the surrounding foliage creating a floating effect. Then I would add some small low voltage bubble lights mounted on the railing posts to provide soft indirect illumiation on the deck.  You will need a transformer and some wire to complete the installation.  Throw some candles on the table and open the wine.  It's party time!
