Cove lighting

I am remodeling with a couple of long hallways with arched ceilings. I want to iluminate/accent the hallway with either rope or strip lighting hidden inside cove molding on both sides of hallway. One length is 32 feet (64 ft counting both sides) and the other section is a "T" that has 3 sections about 12 ft each. I want to be able to dim both sections independently, and would like there to be enough light for the hallway at full brightness, although I am also putting in a couple of 100W sconces on the wall. What would the options, and your sense of the best choice for this? Thanks,

cove lighting is beautiful for creating mood and ambiance, but not a good source for general lighting.  The sconces are a good idea.  Rope light is fairly inexpensive so don't be bashful about installing multiple runs to increase your light levels.  Sounds like you are heading in the right direction.  Click here to see our light rope.
