Calculating lighting loads

how many lights can you put on one 20 amp fuse. we are using track lighting, 90 w bulbs. with a dimmer switch from lutron.

90 watts divided by 120 volts is .75 amps per lamp.  90 watts x 10 fixtures equals 900 watts. So, if you have ten fixtures that totals 7.5 amps.  You would need a 1000 watt dimmer with no fins broken to accomodate that many lights.  Generally speaking you can put 1920 watts on a 20 amp circuit providing you have #12 wire.
