I want to light up my house archetecture. One person recommends 110 volt system while another suggests a 12 volt system. What do you recommend and why?

12 volt lighting is very easy to install and can be quite effective.  The lights are more delicate and can be moved around as the plants mature.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with a LOW VOLTAGE LIGHTING SYSTEM.

120 volt lighting is considered more heavy duty and would require the help of a licensed electrician.  You have more color and wattage options to choose from.  However, since all fixtures are mounted on junction boxes they are not easy to relocate or remove.

Check out our LOW VOLTAGE LIGHTING KITS IN A BOX as a first option.  You can always add some UNDERWATER LIGHTS FOR FOUNTAINS, HANGING LIGHTS FOR ARBORS or PATH LIGHTS FOR STEPS OR WALKWAYS.

Low voltage lighting is a fun project for any homeowner.  Thanks for shopping at Reesidential landscape lighting & Design.  We would love to help you design and lighting system and earn your business.  Always test your light locations before running the wires and burying the cable.
