I am ready to light my roping arena, but it is much, much narrower than the fellow who asked you the most recent question about arena lighting. My arena is 60' X 330'. I have 90 amps available, currently set up as 3 30 AMP double pole (220V) breakers. What is the best lamp? Metal Halide? Sodium Vapor? Wattage? I have 6 1500 quartz lamps I can use, but don't like the light (too yellow), and they don't seem to put out near the light the metal halides do.

Why don't you contact Aaron Lozier in customer service at Residential landscape lighting & Design.  He can be reached at 800-239-2939.

Aaron has extensive experience in lighting HORSE ARENA LIGHTING and is happy to help specify and quote a lighting system that is just right for your arena.

I personally like the metal halide fixtures for their performance and good color rendering.  Talk to Aaron about using forward throw fixtures to minimize the glare.

Thank you contacting us here at RLLD and we look forward to serving you.
