Seeking recommendation on a mercury vapor fixture (or arrangement) to replace current incandescent globe above the patio door. High brick wall 6'to left, 8'wooden fence 20' in front, and yard extends 40' to the right, 8' below patio deck. The yard is very dark. Do the mercury vapors come with motion sensors or can we attach one? We also may want to light several areas of the yard later so I would like something that will be able to integrate with a small system. Thank you!

Mercury vapor lighting will not work on a motion sensor due to the design of the lamp.  You would be better off to install mercury vapor lighting up in the trees or hidden below in the shrubs for decorative lighting.  Halogen lamps are better for motion lights because you can turn them on and off instaneously and they are available in several wattages.  Click Here to see of our most popular motion lights.  Hope this helps.
