In the course of revamping a yard, I have the need to install low voltage outdoor path and spot lights. My sprinkler system has 4 open terminals. Can I use a irrigation controller for my outdoor lighting? The transformer is 129 VAC, 60 HzTransformer Output 24 VAC, 1.25 amps Maximum output per station is 24 VAC, .5 amp. I know the limitation might be the ability in having a sensor auto on/off. But is that the only limitation? Thanks George

You need to run new low voltage wires and leave the sprinkler wires alone.  Contrary to how it sounds, low voltage lights have current that creates higher amperage loads which require a minimum of 14 guage wire.  Take a look at one of our pre-packaged lighting kits.  Having two systems is the way to go!
