Lighting for Thomas Kinkade Paintings

Hello. I was hoping that someone might be able to assist me. I recently just purchased 2 Thomas Kinkade paintings. They are Holiday Gathering’s and Disneyland 50th Anniversary. As you may already know, Thomas Kinkade is known as the painter of light and many of his paintings are designed to be seen with multiple effects as long as you have the proper lighting. I would like to duplicate in my home, that same studio effect that brought me to buy both of these paintings.Can you please recommend the proper lighting distance etc for these 2 paintings? I will be more than happy to supply you with more details so I can determine the best lighting products to purchase. Thank you!

Congratulations on your purchase of two Thomas Kinkade works.

Most galleries use a strong halogen light source to showcase there art.  Halogen has good color rendering and can be dimmed to get just the right level of light.

We have a couple of ART LIGHTING FIXTURES that may be of insterest to you.

Both of these lights use a holgen source.  Other than cost, the main difference is the ability to shape the light to fit the exact contour of the art without spill light on the wall.  This will give you a lighted from within look that is just spectacular.
