I have two Hampton Bay SKLXR032 12 volt transformer. One is hooked to my light in the from yard. There is 30 feet of wire leading from the transformer to the lights. The lights consist of 12ea 4 watt light on a 60 foot wire. They work fine.My backyard light have 50 feet of 12 gauge wire leading from the transformer to the lights. I have 8ea 4 watt lights on 60 feet of 14 gauge wire. The total length of wire being 110 feet. In this configuration the lights will not light and the transfomer will not turn on and produce 12 volts. Please advise on what I can do. I have put a 12 volt battery at the end of the 50 foot wire and the lights work fine. I have also replaced the 50 wire with a different wire. Still no luck. Please advise. Why won't the transformer put out any voltage? Please advise.

I recommend that you replace the Hampton Bay transformer with a more reliable model.  Our MALIBU TRANSFORMERS ML88T are heavy duty magnetic transformers with secondary circuit protection. We get more complaints about Hampton Bay transformers than any other transformer on the market.
