No, for the safety of our men and the tree we use a combination of ladders and climbing gear when installing tree lighting.

No, all of our installations are hand trenched to protect your investment in trees and plants unless otherwise instructed.

How deep should Rigid and PVC conduits be buried?
According to the National Electrical Code galvanized rigid conduit should be buried 6” and PVC conduit should be buried 18” below grade.

What is the difference in color between Halogen and Mercury Vapor lighting?
Halogen lighting produces a white colored light. Mercury vapor lighting produces a bluish green color similar to natural moonlight.

What is the average lamp life of a Mercury Vapor Lamp?
The lamp manufacturer has given these lamps an average life ranging between 10,000 for a 100-watt lamp to 24,000 hours for a 175-watt lamp.

Why has my Mercury Vapor Lamp lost its original intensity?
Mercury vapor lamps do not operate with a filament, and ignite with the use of a gas filled arc tube. Over time the mercury vapor gas depreciates in the arc tube causing the lamp to loose intensity and ultimately fail.

What is the average lamp life of a Halogen Lamp?
The lamp manufacturer has given these lamps an average life ranging between 2,000 to 4,000 hours.

Will a dimmer control work on landscape Lighting?
Yes, some landscape lighting fixtures can be dimmed by the use of a dimmer such as Halogen and Incandescent lamps. Dimmers extend lamp life, save energy and allow you to vary the light levels.

What is the warranty on Landscape Lighting products?
The warranty varies from each manufacturer depending on the type of fixture your purchase. Most manufacturers do typically not cover lamps. Refer to the literature provided in the box for specifics.

What type of light is used in ponds with fish?
We recommend the use of stainless steel, brass or composite fixtures. Copper fixtures should never be used underwater and are harmful to the fish.

Why does the circuit breaker on my transformer keep tripping after I installed new lamps?
You probably installed the wrong lamp. Compare the lamps in the other fixtures and calculate the total wattage on the circuit. Then check the label on the transformer to see if you have exceeded the capacity of the circuit breaker.

Why does my time clock always need resetting?
The time clock is probably connected to a power supply that is controlled by a switch. Each time the switch is turned on and off it looses time and must be reset. Try connecting the timer to another power source.

Why do my outdoor lights on a photocell blink on and off all night?
Photocell controls operate by turning on when light levels drop below a certain level. If a floodlight or other light source is directed at the photocell it will cycle on and off as if it were day and night.

Why do my lights on a photocell stay on most of the day?
The photocell is generally located in the wrong side of the house or hidden by plant material. The best solution is to relocate the photocell or trim the plants.

How do you mount your fixtures to the trees?
We install all our fixtures using the stand off method. This method provides a space between the limb and the mount to prevent insects or tree growth from damaging the tree.

Why is the lens on my up light fixture white in color?
This is due to a lime build up from water from the irrigation system. You can periodically clean the leans with shower cleaner to remove the lime.

What can I do legally about a neighbor’s light that is shining in my window?
You have a legal right to ask them to shield, redirect the light or remove it. Contact your local building inspector for information and help in your area.
