I know you recommend FOC SL-37 for the exterior soffit application. What type of lamp (spot or flood) would you recommed for lighting brick coins? The soffit height is around 9 to 10 feet above finish grade. Thanks!!!

I would suggest that you use the spot lamp for the best results.  Keep in mind that this FOC SL-37 fixture does not adjust allowing you to fine tune the spots of light.

You might take a look at the HALO 1419 TRIM and HALO H1499RT HOUSING for a more flexible solution.  THe fixtures operate at 120 volts and utilize a MR16 LAMP.  You can get beam spreads in 9 degree,10 degree, 12 degree, 25 degree and 38 degree spreads.
