I want to install under cabinet lighting in the kitchen. I've heard xenon last much longer than halogen. Is this true? Can I put these lights on a dimmer switch? What type of lighting system do you recommend? I do not like flourescents. Thank you very much.

It depends on what you kitchen looks like and what wiring may or not be existing. Some of our product require the use of a remote transformer to convert the voltage. Others may be hooked up directly to the house current. I would recommend that you consider the Alkco Little Inch Halogen :

These lights are low profile and can be dimmed using an electronic dimmer:

Please let me know if you need help with selecting the right size fixture and dimmer control.
