Should I use a wooden stand with an artificial tree to make it look more “alive?”
Not necessarily. Metal stands will look just as good with an artificial tree as do a wooden stands, and they offer trees either high profile decorative enhancements or low-key, unobtrusive support.

Our metal replacement stand consists of dark metal that underneath even the brightest light presents a non-reflective surface that will not detract from the tree and decorations. It includes a metal stand for 6.5 and 7.5 feet trees and fits a 1.25” diameter center pole.
