Focus lighting fixtures are an excellent choice for illuminating a colonial home.

I want to up light my brick two story colonial. My plan uses 10 well lights. I plan to use 35w halogens. Do I use flood or spot bulbs. I planned on getting the focus well light $35. I live in Iowa, is there any reason to buy a more expensive well light? Angled vs flat? They will be in a flower bed. Finally I planned on the focus 900w transformer with 10 gauge wire. Unless you have a better or different one to suggest. Thank you.

I would go with the flood lamps and purchase your FOCUS TRANSFORMER with a built-in dimmer control. That way you can fine tune the intensity to just the right amount for your taste.

Unless you have a specific need for WELL LIGHTS you should consider a STAKE MOUNTED FOCUS LIGHT FIXTURE fixture They are easier to move around, adjust and relocate as the plant material matures or your needs change.
