What are the various ways that I can light a batting cage?
I have a batting cage and an area (pitching mound) next to it. I want to light the whole thing 70 x 35'. Using the height of the cage plus 3' to mount the lights to. What type of lights would you recommend? How many? What wattage? Is fluorescent an option? How many etc? I have seen all types of lighting installations for batting cages. Everything from HALOGEN LIGHTS mounted on the fence post, to FLUORESCENT LIGHTS suspended over the cage, to COMMERCIAL LIGHTING POLES illuminating the whole area.
How you illuminate the area really depends on your budget and how complicated you want to make this project. The poles would look the best, but require the most effort. The fluorescent option is probably the most practical. Why don't you send us a digital image of the cage and we will gladly design the lighting for you.
