What is the best way to illuminate my horse riding arena?
I have a 120 X 150 elliptical shaped arena. It's a 120' round pen stretched 30' in the middle. If set 25' high, how much area will a single 400W MHL fixture cover? I'm looking for adequate light, not "high noon". The HORSE ARENA LIGHT mounted on a 25' pole will light about a 60' area. For your size arena I would consider using four poles with two lights each. This will give you a very nice light level without asking too much from each fixture. This will help prevent glare and give you nice uniformity.
