Painting dining room & kitchen track lighting fixtures using enamel paint

We want to install track lighting in our living room. The only colors I could find was white and black. We ultimately bought black but now want to paint the fixture brown to match the kitchen and dining room track lighting . What kind of paint can I use? Must it be heat resistant or can I use ordinary enamel? Thank you.

Depending on the wattage of the fixtures, enamel will most likely work fine. If the fixtures are over 100 watts, I would consider a high heat paint. Either way, it is the light colors that turn brown from the heat. So if you are going brown, don't worry.
