I am looking for christmas colored low voltage light bulbs that have a screw in base the size of a C7 bulb. Do you have any LED light bulbbs?
That's a tough one. The only C7 & C9 LAMPS we have are posted. Did you look at the LED LAMPS? They use very little elctricity and allow you to have longer runs and longer lamp life.

You are looking for something called a banner arm. Contact Aaron in customer service at 800-239-2939 and he should be able to get you a custom quote. Do you have round or square poles? Typically, these arms are fabricated at the factory, however we do have access to strap on models.

Can you tell me which
pre-lit artificial
christmas trees are safe for outdoor use? I want one that is approx. 7 to 9 ft. tall. Thank you.
All of our PRELIT CHRISTMAS TREES are designed for indoor/outdoor use. The lights are weatherproof and certainly can withstand outdoor use. The trees themselves are plastic and will fade over time when exposed to sunlight. If you plan to use you new prelit tree in the yard, it will give you four to five good years before looking tired. Always plug your pre-lit Christmas tree into a CFCI protected outlet for safety.
We have many CHRISTMAS LIGHTS and HOLIDAY DECORATIONS should you want to expand your seasonal display.

What fixtures would be appropriate to light an indoor horse arena 60'' x 128''? The "ceiling" is white (the back side of steel roof). The trusses descend to 14 feet. What number and pattern of fixtures and wattage would be right?
I would recommend that you install (12) 22" Acrylic High Bay fixtures with Pulse Start - TECHLIGHT TH22A 350 watt metal halide high bay fixtures. Install them in two rows of six fixtures equally spaced in width and length. It may require that you install unitrut accross the trusses to position the lights in the pattern described. I would also position the bottom of the fixtures at the 14'' height of your trusses for looks and light distribution.
We have other ARENA LIGHTING FIXTURES if you have an outdoor arena that needs lights as well. All our commercial lighting fixtures are in stock and ready to ship!
Order the lights with a hook and cord option. Have your electrician mount a twist lock receptacle at each light location for easy installation and service. I would go with the 240-250 volt option if you have the space in your panel.

Your web site says the packs of 100 c7 twinkle lights are out of stock. Will you be getting more soon?
It does not look like the C7 lamps you are looking for will not be here in time for Christmas. Have you considered using the 5 WATT TRANSPARENT C7 LAMPS or the 5 WATT CERAMIC C7 LAMPS as another solution? These Christmas light bulbs are in stock and ready to ship.
We have many other CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS should you need any other supplies.

Please confirm the best picture light width size for framed art size 56 1/2" WIDE by 34" HIGH. I want to make sure I order the correct width. I''m thinking House of Troy traditional, but do I need 42" long? That seems long? Please confirm correct width and Thank You!
Personally, I think the 36" TRADITIONAL PICTURE LIGHTS would be fine for illuminating your art. The chart recommends a 42" light. I agree that might be a little top heavy.
Why don''t you do a mock up using old paper towel rolls taped together. By holding it it up above the art you can get a visual as to what is the best length.
We also have a 40" SLIMELINE PICTURE LIGHT that you might consider if you prefer a longer light.

I want to place 9 Path lights w/20watt bulbs, 4 Flood lights w/35watt bulbs and 3 Up/Accent lights w/20watt bulbs around the right side and front of my house. The total distance from the transformer to the last light will be approx 140 feet. By my calculation, that is a total of 380 watts. I plan to use a your SRTO-SS-600 transformer and run three lines grouped by type, i.e. Path, Flood, and Up/Accent? My questions are: 1) What is the best way to connect the lights to the main lines? Special connectors? If so which ones? 2) If using 10/2 cable, does it matter if it has a ground wire or not? 3) At the end of each of these lines, do I just tape then closed or what?Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like you got things figured out. I would run (2) 10/2 DIRECT BURIAL CABLES and split the load into two runs totaling 190 watts on each cable. You can cut and splice the wire with wirenuts provided you fill it with silicone before tightening. This helps prevent moisture from corroding the splices. We also have special CONNECTORS that allow you to install the system without cutting the wires.
Low voltage systems do not require a ground wire on the secondary side of the transformer going to the lights. However, you will need a ground wire on the primary side of the transformer and a GFCI receptacle to meet code.
As far as the end of the run, just cap it off or tape the wires. Please check out our LANDSCAPE LIGHTING SECTION for fixtures, wire and tansformers. We have PRE-PACKAGED OUTDOOR LIGHTING KITS that may be of interest to you. Hope this helps!

What is the size limitation of a piece of art that will be covered by one of the RM111RW fixtures? I have a piece of art that is made up of 3 panels set side by side that is 6 feet long by 4 feet high I would like to illuminate. We are remodeling a 1935 house and do not want to interrupt the ceiling line with too many eyeball type lights. Also do these fixtures prevent the blinding light effect if a sofa is placed underneath the artwork?Thank you for your help.
You would need (2) CONTOUR PROJECTORS RM111RW to light that size art. I am assuming you have a typical 8'' ceiling height. The projectors would be placed approximately 5'' apart and the light beams would overlap for a perfect look. One of the main advantages to using a projector is light control. So, your question ablout blinding light from the sofa will not be a problem.

I have a new shop, 24' x 48' x 16' at the peak. I am thinking of 175 watt low bay lights. How many and how should they be spaced? Does your fixture come with the bulb? Thanks!
If you are running the 175 WATT METAL HALIDE LOW BAY FIXTURES in a row down the middle of your shop, you will need three minimum and four if you want it bright from end to end. You might want to also consider using the 250-WATT METAL HALIDE LOW BAYS should you decide to go with three fixtures. The bulbs are included and all you have to do is select the voltage and mounting method when ordering.
What kind of work will you be doing in your new shop? Thanks for your business!

I replaced all of my outlets and switches from tan to white. In my upstairs hallway, at the top of the stairs is a switch that turns on/off the hall light, at the end of the hall is another switch that turns on/off the hall light. These both work correctly. In the middle is another switch that is suppose to work independently and not affect the two end switches. I was told that I needed to put a 4-way switch in the middle. It works but it seems to mess up the two end switches. I know when I replaced the tan with white that I was very careful to make sure I replaced wires exactly the same way. If the middle switch is up, the two end switches don''t work. It is crazy and very frustrating. PLEASE HELP.
You do need a FOUR WAY SWITCH if you have three switches in the system. Here is a 4-WAY WIRING DIAGRAM from Lutron should you decide to install a DIMMER CONTROL.

In a 100'' x 200'' x 25'' covered arena, with 5 arched bays, would the 22" Acrylic High Bay #TH22A with 400 watt Metal Halide lamps be the best choice?
Yes, the 400-WATT ACRYLIC METAL HALIDE FIXTURE is the right wattage, but the wrong equipment for your indoor horse arena. The Acrylic lens on this fixture is designed to send a percentage of the light upward as well as most of the light downward. Once the lens gets dirty it will block the light from illuminating the ceiling.
I would recommend that you use the 350-WATT METAL HALIDE FIXTURE with pulse start lamps for your horse arena. You will need (10) fixtures total and space them in two rows of five down both sides of the arena.
You will be one happy camper with this fixture and lighting design.

Planning on adding outdoor lighting to pool area and in garden areas in my backyard. I once saw a Landscape designer make his own lighing system with sockets inside of terra cotta pots as fixtures. Very organic and cool. I''m trying to stay away from the typical Home Depot in the box look, but I am by no means versed in yhe ways of electric. Can you recomend a low voltage socket and wire I should use for this application? I want to be able to uplight plantings and provide some illumination for pathways, etc.How many lights can I get on a typical 120amp outlet on the side of my house?Hoping to not hurt myself,Nick
I would not recommend using home made lights of any kind around a pool. If something goes wrong or if someone gets hurt, your insurance company will not cover the claim. It is better to use a UL Approved landscape lighting system around pools in combination with a GFCI receptacle for piece of mind.
If you are looking for something different, we have some very cool ROCK LIGHTS and ROCK SPEAKERS that work well around pools and decks. They certainly don''t look like a typical landscape lighting fixtures or speakers. We also have some unique PATH LIGHTS for illuminating the deck around the pool and pathways for safety. They hide beautifully in the planting area and blend in with the landscaping.
We do have some SOCKETS and DIRECT BURIAL WIRE if you are determined to fabricate your own lights. You can also pick up 12 volt sockets at your local auto parts store. Either way, you will need a TRANSFORMER

Hello- I am installing low-voltage lighting on a deck and had a few questions:1) What do you recommend - Focus lighting or Kichler lighting for a deck? I am trying to stay w/in a $30-$50 per light range. I was looking at copper lighting to go with IPE decking. What is the best quality lighting within that range?2) Since the fixtures will be on posts and steps, how do you suggest that I conceal the wiring that will run up the posts? Is there a way I can conceal the wiring so all I see is the light fixture?3) Since I will have a 6 foot gap between posts on a deck with aluminum balusters btwn each post, do you recommend placing a light fixture every 6 ft.(on each post) or every other post?
I prefer Focus lighting due to styling and quality. I would not go every post, but every other post. If you use a SL07-BRASS or a SL07-ALUMINUM step light you will be very happy with the results. Pre-drill the posts before installing and make your splices under the deck. You will also need a TRANSFORMER to run the system. Mount the lights about 16" to 24" above the deck. It is always a good idea to test one of the lights before drilling the posts. Good Luck!

I wired 3 110v 120mm fans (similar to computer case fans) to a dimmer but I wired it wrong the first time, and tripped a breaker. Then wired it correctly and it turns on and off but not dimming. Is it possible to fry the potentiometer? Thanks!
Not all motors are created equal. The fans you bought will not work on a dimmer or fan speed control. They simply were not designed for that.

I want to add ceiling light to my living room (currently there are no overhead lights). The problem I have is that there is a floor in the attic that is built on the 2x4 joints. So that leaves me only about 4" in the ceiling space (there is also shiplap and 1/4" sheetrock). I want to light some artwork on the walls and provide additional soft light. What would you recommend. What alternatives do I have considering the small ceiling space? Thanks, Lynne
You will most likely have to go with a TRACK LIGHTING SYSTEM due to your limited space. The smallest recessed light we have reuires 5 1/2" of space between the floors.

I have a Tork outdoor lighting timer that is not working properly and need to know who to call for service.

At the foot of the bath tub, approximately 20" high we are constructing a wood box 2'' wide x 4'' high x 1.5''deep. The back of the box will be removeable and an art design will be lasser cut. Stained glass will be glued on the back of the design. I am looking for a light source to illuminate the design and wish to be able to dim the same. Any ideas.
We have some 12 VOLT LIGHT ROPE that would work well around the tub for your lighting project. You will need a TRANSFORMER, MAGNETIC DIMMER CONTROL and GFCI RECEPTACLE to complete the project. When using a ground fault interupter device with a dimmer you MUST install the dimmer after the device. In other words, the GFCI sends power to dimmer control, the dimmer control feeds the transformer, and the transformer feeds the lights. Sounds like a fun project, send us some pictures.

I have a 120'' x 180'' area to light up for horse shows at night. I would like to know what lighting to use to get the proper light distance to lite up for my area for the shows.
Since you are using the arena for horse shows let''s do it right! I would go with (12) 1000 watt metal halide fixtures with adjustable knuckles and (6) 30' steel poles with tenon adapters. Place three poles on each side and equally space them (roughly 50' apart) for coverage and uniformity. These are commercial grade lighting products that will require steel reinforced concrete footings for support. Hello- Thank you for taking the time to review my question. I am in the process of moving into a Georgian Brick home in Chicago and am faced with a living room lighting dilemma. The room is 21 x 18...the South Wall (21'') has a large bay window in the center, the West Wall (18'') has a fireplace in the center, flanked by two smaller windows on the side; the North Wall has a 4 foot archway more on the left(west) leading to the dining room and the East Wall has a large built in shelving system flanked immediately on it''s right (South) by the archway that leads to the front door. The only lights in the room are 3 small recessed ceiling lights that are 2 feet from the shelving unit (that were placed there for the shelving unit). I would like to use as many recessed lights as possible to lighten up the room (as I am not fond of table lamps), but I am not sure where to put them or which product to buy. Any help would be most appreciated.Sincerely,Dino Kostas
Obviously a lot depends on the height of her ceiling, and whether or not its a flat ceiling. But guessing it is flat and 9-10, I would recommend centering lights on the on the arched doorways, in line with either the existing lights or the small windows flanking the fireplace. Then add one or two adjustables in front of the fireplace to light it Perhaps a pendant centered on the bay window, or if not, a couple of recessed lights above any seating group. If you use a pendant and perhaps matching sconces that would be nice at the fireplace. Finally accent lights on any art work you might have is a nice touch. Westinghouse and Framburg have fixture families to choose from. That should give you plenty ambient, decorative, and accent light for a room that size.

Hi, Can this item be mounted on to Intermatic low voltage power stake? What is the size of the thread mount? Thanks
No, this light is designed to sit on the ground or be partially buried for a custom look. The FOCUS SL-03-AC is considered a grade level light and not a stake mounted light. If you want a stake mounted MR16 light light take a look at the FOCUS SL-02. It has a 1/2" threaded stem that will mount to any landsape mounting stake.

I have a backyard baseball batting cage, with the primary area of coverage being 70 feet long and say 20 feet wide. In my ignorance, I have purchased a
1000W metal halide light that is very reminiscent of the one your company sells. I think it is a multi-tap, but I must check. I am seeking advice first before I order a pole upon which to mount my light. Given the area of coverage, and again it is a batting cage so it must be illuminated like a stadium within the area referenced above. I have checkd the graphs you have listed, and a 1000W bulb, I am not sure which size pole will give me the illumination I need within the area in question? Thank you very much.
Hey, we all make mistakes, take it easy. Let us help you finish your project. We are here to help!
If you have a 1000 watt metal halide fixtue, you should use a use a 20' or higher pole. Before ordering a

I would like to wall wash the exterior of my home lighting up the front stone front only of the house. I believe that using the following items may be sufficient: 2 BL616-A spots, 2 MR16 50W bulbs #Q50NFEXZ-CPP, 1 Transformer # VS12-150.I will need the proper wire to hook these up. The run will be approx 25'' to the power source. I will need to connect the two lights to the wire, please provide the proper numbered part for ordering. Should I assume that the spots do come with the stake for ground insertion? Thank you, Don Kasner
The electronic transformer you selected is not designed for the distances you have mentioned. I would suggest that you consider on of our PRE-PACKAGED OUTDOOR LIGHTING KITS as a solution. I am in the process of landscaping my yard and wanted to find out more about your outdoor speakers. I have seen and listened to the
OMNI SPEAKERS used at Fiesta Texas and Seaworld in San Antonio. They sound really good! How do these work for a small yard versus a rock speaker?
I think the
OMNI SPEAKERS,
PROFESSIONAL ROCK SPEAKERS and
OMNI SUB WOOFERS are great for backyards, patios, decks and other out door spaces where speakers would add to the enjoyment. Omni speakers throw sound in a 360 degree radius, so they are intended for larger spaces or where you want sound in all areas of the yard.
ROCK SPEAKERS are more directional and can be positioned to throw the sound precisely to a spot in the garden.
All the
SPEAKERS from TIC INDUSTRIES are well made and designed for the rigorous conditions of outdoor entertainment. Sprinklers, ants and dirt can reek havoc on any outdoor speaker, however TIC INDUSTRIES manufactures a
OUTDOOR WALL MOUNT SPEAKERS,
OUTDOOR SPEAKER CONTROLS and
DIRECT BURIAL SPEAKER WIRE to designed to withstand these harsh conditions. Sure, you can pay more for a bigger name in the industry, but you can buy a better outdoor speaker for the money. Hear the results for yourself today!
