Track lighting systems for rooms with no space between floors.

I want to add ceiling light to my living room (currently there are no overhead lights). The problem I have is that there is a floor in the attic that is built on the 2x4 joints. So that leaves me only about 4" in the ceiling space (there is also shiplap and 1/4" sheetrock). I want to light some artwork on the walls and provide additional soft light. What would you recommend. What alternatives do I have considering the small ceiling space? Thanks, Lynne

You will most likely have to go with a TRACK LIGHTING SYSTEM due to your limited space. The smallest recessed light we have reuires 5 1/2" of space between the floors.
