Smoke detectors, fire alarm, battery backup smoke alarms & CO2 detectors.

I just replaced batteries in my BRK smoke detectors. We have 6 that are all connected and a couple of days after putting in new batteries, they went off. This has happened more than once. A friend of mine said when theirs did that, they had a bad one. How can I tell which one it might be if this is the case?

That is a very good question. I would lower all the SMOKE DETECTORS from the mounting plates and disconnect the red wire which loops them together. That way you can isolate the problem and identify the problem device. If you follow these instructions, the devices will remain in service for the duration of your test. Hope that helps.
