Rope light around a bath tub for lighting glass blocks.

At the foot of the bath tub, approximately 20" high we are constructing a wood box 2'' wide x 4'' high x 1.5''deep. The back of the box will be removeable and an art design will be lasser cut. Stained glass will be glued on the back of the design. I am looking for a light source to illuminate the design and wish to be able to dim the same. Any ideas.

We have some 12 VOLT LIGHT ROPE that would work well around the tub for your lighting project. You will need a TRANSFORMER, MAGNETIC DIMMER CONTROL and GFCI RECEPTACLE to complete the project. When using a ground fault interupter device with a dimmer you MUST install the dimmer after the device. In other words, the GFCI sends power to dimmer control, the dimmer control feeds the transformer, and the transformer feeds the lights. Sounds like a fun project, send us some pictures.
