Outdoor landscape lighting for trees and shrubs using mercury vapor lighting fixtures.

I need to select 3 large uplights for oaks trees and 6 small uplights for specimin trees i also need 3 lights to wash the front and side of a house. My wife does not want to see the fixtures She does not want to be able to see where the light comes from what would you recommend

Hiding the light source will take careful consideration and testing on your part to acheive the desired results. Up lighting large Oak trees can be done with several types of equipment depending on the mounting technique you use. For example, a one or more MERCURY VAPOR GRADE LEVEL UP LIGHTS positioned in the lawn, midway between the truck and the drip line, will do a beautiful job of lighting the canopy of the tree. If your tree is surrounded by shrubs, the best way to up light the tree is MERCURY VAPOR BULLET UP LIGHTS with the hub mount option or with remote ballasts. Install the lights just below the top of the shrubs and theat will minimize a glow spot from the fixture. You can also use MERCURY VAPOR DOWN LIGHTS mounted in the top of the tree to create shadows and interest on the ground.

Check out our LIGHTING GALLERY for some ideas!

For the specimen trees, you might consider using one of our PRE-PACKAGES LOW VOLTAGE LIGHTING KITS. Everything you need including the fixtures, stakes, lamps, wire and transformer are in the box. I like the MR16 for the trees and the PAR36 for the house. We also have GRADE LEVEL LOW VOLTAGE LIGHTS if that fits your needs better.
