Splicing wires for underwater fountain lights can be a problem.

I have a outdoor fountain in my back yard with halogen underwater lights that keep filling up with water. How can I stop this from happening?

The best way to prevent water from filling up your UNDERWATER LIGHTS is to make all splices outside the fountain and above water level. When a light fixture heats up and cools off it expands and contracts the air inside the fixture. The wire going to the fixture can act like a big straw that sucks water into the fixture over time If you make your splices out of the water and in a dry location, this should solve your problem.
