Photocell or light sensor on outdoor light stays on.

We thought our sensor went. We bought a new one, as the lights on our lamp post stayed on constantly, and with new sensor still staying on. Any clues what is wrong?

If you are referring to a PHOTOCELL SENSOR I can think of only a couple of reasons the light may be staying on. One is the sensor is in the shade or not getting enough light to turn it off. The other might be a wiring issue. Make sure that you have the red lead connected to the black wire going to the socket. Check out out handy WIRING INSTRUCTIONS FOR A PHOTOCELL CONTROL.
