Outdoor flood lighting a residence with a soft warm wash of light.

I need 2 outdoor flood lights to moderately illuminate the front of our home that is approx. 120 feet across. What type of light do you recommend and what wattage? We don''t want to brightly illuminate, just a medium lighting for security and safety. Thanks!

If you are planning to install the lights out in the yard, shining back towards the house, I would go with a couple HALOGEN FLOOD LIGHTS with an optional MIGHTY POST MOUNTING STAKE. I would install a LUTRON DIMMER CONTROL to regulate the intensity of the lights. That way you can not only extend the lamp life, but set them just the way you like them.

You might also consider a LOW VOLTAGE LIGHTING KIT a another way to accomplish your goals.
