Mounting stakes are typically used to mount path lights and other low voltage lighting fixtures.

What is the customary method of installation of path lights, if a fixture comes with an in ground stake how should that stake be installed in the ground? Is it standard practice to bed the stake in concrete or gravel?

How you anchor the stake really depends on the soil and traffic conditions. I generally just hammer the stake into the ground. If you use concrete or anchor it to well, it will break the stem when it gets kicked or hit. Try using the stake and see how it works. Should you decide to purchase a different type of MOUNTING STAKE we have many to choose from.
