Selecting outdoor low voltage wire for a Malibu lighting system.
I am using a Malibu 600 watt system with 20 lights (20 watts each or 400 max). Do I need to consider the length of the 12 gauge wire as well since I have added length? I have about 200 feet. Also, am I supposed to use both ABC terminals? I am only using one ABC terminal.
The wire is a very critical part of your LOW VOLTAGE LIGHTING system. For a distance of 200 feet, you might want to take a look at our POWER CABLE CALCULATOR for the proper run lengths. THe malibu transformer has two 25-amp circuits to handle the 50-amp load. (600/12 = 50 amps) Refer to your instructions for more specific information.
