Low voltage lighting cable comes in what sizes?

LOW VOLTAGE LIGHTING CABLE comes in a variety of sizes. The bigger the number, the smaller the wire size. For example, let's look at some common wire sizes:

• 16/2 cable is rated for 10 amps or approximately 120 watts total.
• 14/2 cable is rated for 15 amps or approximately 180 watts total.
• 12/2 cable is rated for 20 amps or approximately 240 watts total.
• 10/2 cable is rated for 30 amps or approximately 360 watts total.
• 8/2 cable is rated for 40 amps or approximately 480 watts total.
