Transformer and Hum, Electrical Transformer Noise, Transformer and Noise, Outdoor Landscape Lighting Transformer
I have a question regarding the Malibu transformer power pack. I have it plugged in no lights attached and it hums whether it is switched on or off.The lights work perfect when it is on(hums a little more loudly). Is it supposed to be humming all the time? Just curious if it was normal.The humming is normal for all transformers and ballasts. Read my TRANSFORMER & BALLAST NOISE PAGE for more information on controlling the hums and buzzes.
