Outdoor Walkway Lighting Advice
We are in the process of redoing our front yard, adding a water feature, and walkway across the front of our house and down the side. We have used the cheap plastic malibu type light in the past and it''s time to move up. We like the focus AL-03-4T-10 pagoda but are not sure how many we will need. The walk way is 25 feet across the front and 20 feet down the side in an L shape. How many lights would you suggest? Also, we just want the walk highlighted but not brightly lit. Is the 18 watt bulb too bright, the 12 watt not bright enough? Would appreciate your advice. We will also be adding some pond lighting. We know it needs to be brass from reading the archives. Thank you for your assistance.P.S. Having spent the last week looking into this, your website is by far the most helpful, best organized I have seen. Thanks.
Thanks for the kind words. I would use four of the Focus AL-03-4T-10 pagoda lights down your sidewalk. I would alternate them from side to side roughly ever five feet for an interesting effect. I would go with the 20-watt halogen lamps for both performance and lamp life. You will also need a transformer and some wire to complete the job.
My favorite underwater light is the Focus SL-33 MR-16 light! It is small, adjustable and very effective for lighting ponds
Hope this helps and we certainly appreciate your business and look forward to serving you!
